Cylekx is a free graphics design application. Its ambition is to offer a program that can do the same things that Photoshop does, but without the high price tag. But, to tell the truth, the goal wasn't achieed. The main downfall of the application is its interface.
Once you install the program and open it, you will notice the amount of windows that open up independently on the main window. The worst thing is that it is hard to figure out what functions each window performs. The next thing you will notice is the amount of menus coming down from the top bar. These are the graphic tools and effects, but it is hard to find one that you need, as they are all mixed. There are no tool icons here, just pull-down menus. You will also find some sort of templates to help you edit an image into things like a CD cover, but they all pretty much produce the same output.
If you are serious about image editing you should probably find another program to work with. There are many free image editors out there that are more intuitive than this one.
